One Dead and One in Custody in Waco Murder

Brother murdered trying to protect his sister.

Waco Officers responded to a domestic dispute with a stabbing last night (9-22-11) at 11:20 pm in the 1000 block of South 12thA Street. As they arrived they were told of an individual that was lying in the 1200 block of Dutton and it appeared the individual had been stabbed.

Officers learned that a domestic dispute had taken place in the 1000 block of South 12th street between a woman and the suspect, Allan Story (dob 4-26-70). Story was strangling his girlfriend when Zachary Davis, the girlfriend’s brother intervened to stop the assault. Allan Story then started fighting Zachary Davis and Story stabbed Davis with a knife.

Both Story and Davis ran from the initial scene and Davis was found deceased in the 1200 block of Dutton. Davis had been stabbed in the upper torso.

Officers began searching for Allan Story and after 4 hours of searching for him, most of which was done on foot, Story was found in the 1900 block of North 13th street and taken into custody. Allan Story is charged with Murder.

Judge VILLARREAL was called to the scene and pronounced Davis deceased. Davis’s body has been sent for autopsy. Crime Scene Technicians assisted officers with the scene.
