Shoplifting becomes Robbery for Killeen Teen Girls

Destinee Miles
Kerriel Arms
Two Killeen teens are being held on robbery charges after a shoplifting attempt turned violent. Killeen Police report they were called to the K-Mart at 1101 South Ft Hood Street Friday afternoon at 6 pm after the two young girls got into a fight with a loss prevention officer when the officer attempted to stop them from leaving the store. Police say Destinee Alice Miles and Kerriel Miaundrea Arms were detained by the officer after they allegedly tried to conceal items in bags at the store. That's when the fight began. The use of physical force turned what would have been a theft into a robbery which is a felony. The two girls are being held in the Bell County Jail in lieu of $100000 bond each.
