$1000 Reward Offered in Killeen Suspicious Fire Investigation

(KILLEEN FIRE DEPT RELEASE)

On Saturday evening, at approximately 2223 hours, the Killeen Fire Department responded 2 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, 1 Tower Truck, 2 Ambulances, 4 Investigators, 2 support vehicles, 2 Booster Trucks, and a Rescue Truck to a reported structure fire in the 300 Block of N. Roy Reynolds. Mutual aid was also received from the Harker Heights Fire Department. The first fire department unit on scene reported that there were heavy flames and smoke showing from two separate portions of the storage facility. Approximately 31 storage units sustained major fire damage, which included approximately 11 vehicles that had sustained major fire damage. One firefighter sustained a minor injury to his knee and was treated on scene. The cause of the fire that occurred at 300 N Roy Reynolds is still under investigation, but the circumstances of the fires are suspicious. (Any person who shall hereafter supply information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person found guilty of committing the crime of arson within the city shall be offered a reward of one thousand dollars.)
