WACO VETERANS DAY PARADE BROADCAST CABLE AND INTERNET

(CITY OF WACO RELEASE)

This year’s Veterans Day Parade through downtown Waco will be bigger and better than ever with more than 135 units including floats, school bands, drill teams and of course our Veterans. The parade will begin at 12th and Austin at 11a.m. on Veteran’s Day, November 11th and proceed down Austin Avenue to City Hall. Waco area citizens are encouraged to line Austin Avenue to show your support and appreciation for those men and women who have served our country.

If you can’t make it to downtown Waco, the Waco City Cable Channel will bring live coverage of the parade in an all new way. This year, not only will the coverage be in high definition for those on Grande cable but all cable subscribers will see full live coverage from three different cameras and hear a description of the various units as they appear in the parade.

The big news this year is that if you don’t have cable or you can’t get away from work to come downtown to see the parade, the live coverage is available on our new web-channel that is viewable from anywhere in the world on any computer hooked to the Internet. We invite anyone who has out of town friends or relatives and especially those serving in the military, anywhere in the world, to share the parade via the city’s website at waco-texas.com and watch the live coverage of Waco’s big Veterans Day Parade. Live coverage begins around 11:15a.m. on the only city channel in the state of Texas broadcasting in High Definition.…the Waco City Cable Channel.
