Mexia PD Release
On Monday October 18th at approximately 9:20 am, an arrest was made of a Michael Chad Reeves, a white male 32 years of age of Waco, Texas at a residence in Bellmead, Texas in connection with the robbery of the Centex Citizens Credit Union in Mexia on October 12th, 2010. The arrest came from a joint investigation involving the Mexia Police Department, Texas Rangers, FBI and the US Marshals.
Reeves is cooperating with the investigation and is currently in custody in the McLennan County Jail

On October 12, 2010 at approximately 2:53 pm. the Cen-Tex Citizen's Credit Union at 931 Tehuacana Road in Mexia was robbed.
The suspect was a White or Hispanic Male 5-'8"to 5'-10" tall, stocky build, wearing a long sleeve plaid shirt, blue or grey baseball cap and a surgical mask, in his med 20's to early 30's. He entered the front door and handed one of the tellers a note demanding money. The suspect did display a handgun tucked into his waistband. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect exited the front doors and fled on foot. The entire incident lasted less than one minute, and no one was injured.
This is currently under investigation by the Mexia Police Department, Texas Rangers and the FBI.
