Belton blood drive Sunday Oct. 24

BELTON, Texas – Christ the King Catholic Church is hosting a community blood drive on Sunday, October 24 from 12 - 2 p.m. The church is located at 210 E. 24th Street in Belton.

Blood donors will receive a free t-shirt, a free football helmet squeezie, a free pint of Blue Bell Ice Cream, the chance to win a teeth whitening from J. Phillip Davis, DDS and the chance to win one of five $50.00 certificates from Woods Flowers.

All the blood collected at Scott & White stays in Central Texas to help our friends, neighbors and community members in their time of need. As Scott & White Healthcare continues to grow throughout Central Texas, the usage of blood is increasing. Scott & White Blood Center supplies blood to all Scott & White hospitals in Temple, Round Rock and King’s Daughters Hospital in Temple.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years of age and weigh more than 110 pounds. Each donor must present a picture ID in order to be registered to donate. Most medications are fine including blood pressure and cholesterol prescriptions.

(2401 S. 31st Street) and is open Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

and Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Free Valet parking is available at hospital entrance and walk-ins are always welcome.
