FORT HOOD SOLDIERS AND DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY CIVILIAN HONORED AT RETIREMENT CEREMONY

FORT HOOD, Texas - Six Soldiers along with one Department of the Army Civilian  honored at a formal retirement ceremony today (Aug 27) .



The senior retiree at the ceremony is Lt. Col. Sandra M. Thompson, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, III Corps, Fort Hood. She is retiring after 25 years of service.



Others  honored include:



Lt. Col. Karl C. Kirchman, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, III Corps, Fort Hood. He is retiring after 20 years of service.



Command Sgt. Maj. Major Jack P. Iglesias Jr., 2nd Squadron, 13th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas. He is retiring after 28 years of service.



Sgt. 1st Class James H. Diggs, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Sustainment Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood. He is retiring after 24 years of service.



Sgt. 1st Javier M. Rayo, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood. He is retiring after 20 years of service.



Sgt. 1st Class Eric B. Chambers, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood. He is retiring after 20 years of service.



Cruz G. Garcia, general manager, Defense Commissary Agency, Warrior Way, Fort Hood. He is retiring after 42 years of service.
